Adrià Bofarull

Adrià Bofarull's projects deal with concepts such as hypnosis, the genesis of ideas and labyrinths meant for the distillation of pieces of exploratory electronics with a common denominator: improvisation. Despite the predominance of samples and manipulated field recordings, there are also processes of synthesis and manipulation which fit in real-time objects in their sound spectrum and instruments. He uses both hardware and different software tools to configure sets he plays intuitively. Always feeling the limits of their own sound he has published pieces of his work under his name or the pseudonym Hydra, on labels such as Exp_net, Audiotalaia, Espais, Hazard, Tecnonucleo... (the last Fireworks at Audiotalaia). When he plays live music he likes improvising on his own or with other musicians like Xavier Tort, Rafa Zaragoza, Huan, Jean François Pauvros, Això no es pànic... During the 2012 he was a resident artist at Gràcia Territori Sonor. He kept the duo Cràter next to the late Joan Saura, editing a self-titled album in 2013. He had previously edited 7 albums under the name Dargelos where he wove abrupt compositions with a sampler. He has played in festivals and events like Off Herzios (Valencia), Lem (Barcelona), Experimenta Club (Madrid) and Sonar (Barcelona). In 2015 Dargelos "sturm und drang" work was reissued digitally on netlabel República Ibérica Ruidista. In 2016 he played at Fonoteca Múrcia in a cycle commissioned by Francisco López. His last album is "the brain test" published in 2017 on thrmphone records.
