Jorge Cabadas & Juan Carlos Castillo comprise an electric guitar duo which explores free improvisation in ambient and contemporary languages. They met at an improvisational event in Madrid, some years ago, in 2015. That day they both played electric guitar in a large ensemble directed by the great improviser Terry Day. They each have different backgrounds and experiences (jazz, folk music, rock and blues, contemporary music, soundtracks), but share the same passion for free improvisation. After their first recording, called “Soundbites”, here comes the new and fresh “Characters”, one further step towards the freedom of expression they are searching for.
