Álvaro Herrera


Álvaro is a sound engineer and musician based in Madrid. He combines a solid technical background with a career closely linked to classical music, film scores and audiovisual composition. He has worked as a recording engineer, mixing engineer, producer and composer on more than 150 projects, collaborating with labels such as Naxos, Decca and Deutsche Grammophon, and with orchestras including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra and the RTVE Orchestra and Choir. His work includes productions such as Klaus (Oscar-nominated), Cenicienta (musical), El reto Arkano 24h (Guinness World Record) and @buelos (Forqué Awards nominee), as well as campaigns for brands like El Corte Inglés and recordings for musicians such as Pedro Iturralde, Juan Bardem and Manuel Martínez Burgos. Specialized in the recording and production of classical and audiovisual music, he works with high-resolution systems such as DSD and DXD and develops immersive mixes in formats like Dolby Atmos and Auro-3D, which are the focus of his doctoral research.
